Squid Game Season 2: A New Chapter in the Dystopian Saga

During a Netflix press conference in September 2022, director Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed that the second season of Squid Game is scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform in 2024.


Cast members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo, from the first season will be returning for season 2.


Netflix announced at its Tudum event in Brazil this year in June, that four new cast members, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-guen, will be joining the second season of “Squid Game.” Stay tuned for more intense competitions and unexpected twists.


It's also important to note, that contrary to misconceptions, "Squid Game: The Challenge" isn't the sequel to the original show.
